Acclaimed Slovak pianist Monika Mockovcáková has developed a reputation as a dynamic pianist who blends an immaculate command of the instrument with deep musical understanding, to express her fresh artistic interpretations. She has performed throughout Europe and recorded for Slovak, Czech and Swiss Radio, and Slovak TV.

In addition to her solo activities, Monika is often welcomed as a lieder accompanist and chamber music performer. She and noted Slovak violoncellist Teodor Brcko were laureates of the L. van Beethoven and B. Martinu competitions in Prague in 1997; they were once again successful in the December 2003 B. Martinu competition, where they took first first prize and special prize for their interpretation of Martinu's works. In 2007 Monika won 2nd Prize in the Washington International Piano Artists Competition, as well as the Press Award and the Award for Best Performance of a Classical Work. She has taught at the University of Musical Arts of Bratislava and is currently teaching at The Conservatory of Bratislava.
